Farm Animal Handling Resources for Youth

Understanding the behaviors of animals helps prevent injuries to both people and animals.
- Dr. Temple Grandin

Livestock can sometimes be difficult to move and handle. Aggressive, stubborn, frightened or stressed animals can all add their own unique challenges.

One of the primary objectives of the Farm Animal Councils of Canada is to advance responsible farm animal care. We feel reaching the next generation of farmers and ranchers with new and improved methods for low-stress handling is an excellent investment.

Below are resources for youth who handle farm animals. Visit our livestock handlers page for more information and industry links.
